3235 movement

Puretime showed me this new 2019 DJ36 release from GMF, I’ve been speaking to Li about it, I asked what movement the 3235 is, he said he’s not sure but definitely not a dressed up SA3135 with 3235 engravings, He said it’s on par with ARF models, and should be listed on his website sometime today.

Has anybody seen or heard anything about this new release 3235?

It is a new 1:1 clone 3235 movement from GMF. But it is based on the SA platform. Historically, the SA based clones don't have reliable reviews and they don't take gen parts. Only time will tell how good/bad these new clones are.

Just FYI - GMF released 3 new clones, the GMT 3186, 3165 (Cellini) and this one. The GMT one has been discussed in details on this forum and the general advise is to stay away from them.

This movement has been around since ref came out with it over a year ago. Nothing about it is 1:1 as far as the 3235. Not very reliable and doesn’t take gen parts.

I’ve had this movement for over a year.

Good to know that, I was comtemplating its use on a DJ41. I guess I will stay away.

Thanks for posting the photos and the information. Will stay well clear. I heard ZZF may have DJ36 release but nobody knows when, or will wait for ARF to release the new DJ36 2019 dial in silver.

But after buying a BP TT RG DJ36 that completely changed colour and oxidised to copper, it’s kinda put me off buying any type of replica watch again.

It’s a big NO NO in the rep world to go for any gold
models, unless you have 40 mils+ plating which also is long term questionable. Stick to SS, there are some amazing reps made in China!!

Sorry to see your BP do that. Was it gold wrapped or plated? I want to purchase a TT datejust jubilee but am struggling with finding a good one aesthetically and that has a reliable movement.

It was plated. I’ve read the wrapped TT are too rich and deep in colour. Plus the BP wrapped version of this watch is almost $1000!

My advice is stay well clear of any type of TT rep. A lot of much more experienced people have said the same thing, wrapped, plated makes no difference. There will be people that disagree and would have had a better experience, but way to risky in my opinion.

Good gold plating costs money and at the end of the day these manufacturers are in the business of making money. Just stick to SS, or even look at buying a genuine vintage Swiss watch such as an Omega would be my advice. Buying a rep is a nice way to see what suits you, and a fun hobby.

Have a look at this thread, it’s a very good read. They don’t use real gold in the plating process, or at least most don’t. I got 3 months out of my watch.

I may buy one more SS rep.

+1.

I have concerns regarding the new 3235 movement, but no one seems to be discussing it.
