Customs and DHL Express delivery signature?

So, ordered my first rep and shows Estimated Delivery:Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Good news thus far is that it shows “Shipment has been given a release by Customs.” - see screenshot.

My question is that this is the second time DHL has texted me to deliver without sig:

Hello, this is DHL Express regarding tracking # xxxxxxxxx. Please reply with Yes to authorize DHL Express to deliver without a signature. Or Stop to end

I’ll be home and would prefer signing, but now since they have texted me twice in 3 days asking to deliver without sig, not sure what to do. What do you guys do - ignore text (since there is not a no option) or respond yes so that they deliver without sig?

They are just asking for permission to leave the parcel in your mail box /through your door / with neighbour in case you are out . Replying YES will just absolve them from blame if your parcel goes missing . They will still deliver your parcel so just ignore message . Your shipping will update to ' With Courier out for delivery ' . As you are going to be in, they will deliver your parcel in the usual way and you can sign for it . Bob's your uncle !

I have just never really dealt with DHL, and them repeatedly asking to deliver without sig .. it’s like they have an agenda or something ...

They do have an agenda, they want your permission to leave the parcel somewhere if you are not without a signature. It absolves them from blame if it goes missing , and means the driver doesn't have to try to redeliver if you are not in . Ignore and they will deliver the parcel to you on Tuesday and you can open the door and sign for it . Fanny's your aunt !

Bob's your Uncle and Fanny's your Aunt .. Is an English saying it means the ' job's done' usually refers to a simple task and advising someone how to complete it . As in if you ignore the text DHL will deliver your parcel and you can sign for it and you will get your watch ' Bob's your Uncle mate '.

I send mine to work so there is always someone to accept my package.

If I were you, I would be home waiting for the package.

I think it's a request for shipments in usa. in europe they don't ask

Ive never had that in germany
