I like their aesthetic, but they don’t really appeal to my 6.75” wrist

You know, mine is only 7" and the Portugieser series is just great. Even the 3777 wears incredibly well. And the other day I went to the AD and tried the big pilot and I was amazed, really amazed at how easy it wears even at 7". But the 3714 for example (Portugieser) wears very well (you have that in quartz) and there are some with very simple complications. Gee I sound like a IWC AD hehe but it's true. Also a Daytona, i don't remember seeing. I'm waiting for the new movement to pull the trigger on one.

If anyone can help me out, I’d really appreciate it. I know this is a collection post and if the owner of the post doesn’t want it, I have no problem with my comment getting deleted. I’m in the market for a Regmariner and I was wondering, what reference number Submariner does the Regmariner take after?

Very nice!!

Out of curiosity, which one of the two do you prefer? I must say that the RO looks perfect on your wrist. I have the 15400 and just toying with the idea of getting the Nautilus as well.

I haven’t tried a rep nautilus yet but from all the pictures I have seen the RO looks better.

Perhaps the RO is just more photogenic (to my eyes) and the Nautilus is something you have to see and feel in person to appreciate?

Tough question. They both tick a lot of the same boxes: Genta octagonal design, SS, sports watch, can moonlight as a dress watch, slim profile, jewellery-level bracelet. In terms of gen, I think I prefer the nautilus because of its slimness and simplicity. In terms of the rep, JF make a damn good RO, and while the PF is really good, the finishing is not quite to the same level.

I prefer the 15450 over 15400 for my 6.75 wrist. The PF 5711 is a fair bit smaller than the JF 15400, so that's where you may notice the biggest difference. The PF resale value is pretty high on M2M, so there's not much loss in flipping it

What size is it that you like?

In the RO series I prefer the 15450. The 15400 is a tad too large for me. Even though the 15300 is goldilocks zones for width, the BP version is quite thick, which compromises the aesthetics for me; it feels too chunky to be a sports/dress watch

Oh ok I see. The 15300 is a little chunky but I just like it a lot. I have the black and blue dial..I’m currently waiting on the white dial. I’m on the fence between the 15400 and the 15450.

Nice collection! I’ll be there one day

Hang in there, hurricane.

It is the perfect goldilocks size. I’d love to try on all three gens side by side and decide that way!
