So you’re new here. You wander around the forum and you see things like IMO that SOSF has me RMFAOL and you wonder what the hell are these guys talking about? Well here is a list of those terms to help you out. I’m sure I’ve missed a few but this will be a work in progress.

(See 1:1, Ultimate, Macrophasia, Rephaustion).

Fakebreaking: A phenomenon wherein rep buyers constantly break certain models of watches. Even if the movements in those watches are commonly used in gens with no issues. This is caused by a failure to understand the limitations of a mechanical timepiece in general. Gen owners are usually not afflicted by this. An example would be the Rolex Daytona. (See Seconds @6).

Often results in people never buying a rep or being satisfied with any purchase. Symptoms include constant dealer complaints and repeated 'Why can't they make these more accurate' questions. If not managed early it often results in a short lived tenure in the hobby. (See 1:1, Ultimate, Anal, Rephaustion).

Holy crap. All kidding aside, this is a tremendous work, Fakey. Atlhough I would add in a couple of terms:

Jandrew - term used to describe Josh and Andrew, whose business practices make them virtually the same person; also referred to as "The Twins."

LoS - short for Legend of Speed, Chief Admin of RWI; Primarily known for being an evil despot; will soon be overthrown by seanf in a bloodless coup

Plushophilia - an unnatural sexual attraction to stuffed animals; see AHW676

AHW676 - allegedly a female member; secretly seanf in disguise; will not send you any nekkid pictures, so stop bloody asking

Fakey, as someone who has been guessing on some of these abbreviations for a while, I'm very thankful for all of the work you put into this. I've been looking for something like this since I started looking at this forum.

And you also forgot one other term:

Bite me - term meaning "bite me"

And I'd prefer Salma Hayek, but I don't think that's likely to happen either.

I'd be LOL, except, like many, I need to pause for a moment with a dumb grin on my face when seeing the name Salma Hayek................................................. Sorry, had another moment!

As for the list, thanks Fakey.

Fakey: Name used by the few (but growing) lucky stiffs who own at least one of Fakemaster's projects.

SA: Salma Hayek... term used to prevent RWI from going dead in the middle of an active thread

Hold on a minute. Don't speak too soon here. I, for one, would be perfectly willing to call you Salma Hayek from now on.

Umm...that could happen if you want it. If you would really rather be referred to as Salma Hayek it's a just a simple matter of a couple of changes in the admin control panel to change it. If you need help figuring it out let one of us know
