Omega smp 300 blue

Hello everybody,
I'm new to rwi and trying to gather some information on the Omega SMP 300 blue 2012 41mm. Just wondering if anyone has any information on which Factory I should be looking for, or which version is best? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to say there are no good cases. The "closed factory" was the best but long gone. The smpc case is acceptable if you can find an older version with correct crown guards but it will be too thick.

Imho it isn't worth doing a franken smp unless you are ok with it still having flaws yet costing near as much as gen. Essentially, only do one for the joy of it

Yeah this. I have seen some very impressive frankens of these but you have to be careful choosing parts.

That said they can be very rewarding to do as they're a great watch but just keep an eye on cost, my gen set me back around £700 ish.

Well worn as it is, I could have it polished and a new bezel and still have change from a grand if I so wished and have a brand new looking watch.

@Balls of steel the best maker of the SMPc is BP. Get an older version if you can but the new one is acceptable.

Didn't look at it properly before but that's actually quite a nice franken base as far as SMPs go, where did you get it?
