Hi,

After lurking the forum for a while, I decided to order 2 watches from Puretime in early March 2020, I ran into a few issues:

1) Total was supposed to be $847 but final charge was $964.63. After doing some research this is due to currency exchange, banks to vendor, etc... which I have come to terms with.
2) QC pictures were quickly received and approved. Shipment information was received on March 23 2020. After about 8 days with no changes on shipping status, (Shipping label created but DHL doesn't have the actual item) I contacted puretime serveral times and was finally told after a few days that they did give DHL the package. I contacted DHL direct and they informed me that they do not have the package only the shipping label is created.

I understand that there's the pandemic going on in the world right now with limited flights and packages going out for medical supplies. My predicament is the information Puretime told mecontradicts the information I received from DHL. Puretime did give the package to DHL vs DHL doesn't actually have the package.

Please help shed some light to this issue. I know patience is key, I just want to hear other opinions.

Thanks in advance.

I am in the same situation, they sent me the tracking number but DHL has not received anything yet.
I have no response from the puretime shipping department.
I am not in a hurry and understand the situation, but I would like some information.

In the same boat. Did u actually call DHL? Because they stated this on their website.

"Coronavirus: DHL Express maintains its operation

As a globally operating company, epidemic and pandemic risk scenarios are an integral part of the Group's continuous risk planning. The safety of our employees is paramount, and we have preparedness measures in place to mitigate any impact.

DHL Express maintains its operation as normal, but some delays may occur. Unfortunately, we are currently experiencing some major delays on shipments from China, and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause for some of our customers. However, we do everything we can to minimize these delays.

DHL Express' management team monitors developments closely and meets daily to assess and act properly. We adjust operations to maintain continuity and to support the safety and health of those affected. In addition, DHL Express operates in accordance with guidance from local authorities and public health authorities around the world. We have already implemented many contact reducing measures to reduce the potential transmission of infection.

I ordered a watch from Hong Kong and it was shipped DHL. Shipped on 03/31 and delivered today, 04/04 to North Dakota, USA. I'm noticing the trend of a lot of delayed shipping, and I am of the opinion that it is not DHL.

Yeah I don’t understand why is happening but under my understanding the mail service in almost every country is still working. What is with all the delays we may never know

Just because mail is working doesn't mean it's at 100%. There have been many delays and ramp'd up restrictions on shipping regarding sanitation and disinfection so this is the new normal for now.

They also must be working to catch up with all the other shipping.

Also, you must remember that mail travels by plane. DHL, FedEx, UPS, USPS have contracts with airlines that fly in and out of these cities and countries to transport mail in the bellies of their jets. While DHL, FDX and UPS have a fleet of aircraft, not all of them fly to these places. They fly to major hubs. So, of if any of your packages are in a place where any of these carriers do not have hubs, you're stuck waiting for the next airline flight that does leave that place. And you must all know what's happening with the airlines. I know, I'm a pilot.

You all must exercise patience, even more so than before. The world is going through a lot.

Maybe intrastate mail services are working fine, but interstate or international might not be. There are many other factors affecting international commerce and that includes mail.

As a poster said, it is not DHL, (or UPS or FDX), it's a collective issue that is affecting all mail services, specially international.

Breaking News.

There is a virus pandemic, there are less and less planes flying, people all over the world are falling ill, some of these selfish fuckers are even dying.

All shipping is delayed.

Patience is required - in case of doubt, ask an adult to help.

I don't understand why anyone is chasing purchases?!

You can't wear them out anyway
DHL may be working, but it is under minimal contact conditions
Plus there is a massive bottle neck in HK
Forget about your watch for the time being and focus on savig lives including your own
I also have three orders I'm waiting for which I hope are postponed for as long as possible while we get this fucking pandemic under control

Virus causes shipping delay?

Sent from my iPhone using RWI

In the US you are only just beginning to see what happens when an entire country is locked down - everybody orders off the internet, doubling or tripling the usual numbers of parels being transported daily.
85% - 90% of international flights are canceled, meaning international shipping is now taking 2, 3 or 4 times longer than normal.
Courier and Postal Services workers are also ill with the virus. In Italy and Spain Postal services have almost come to a complete stop in some areas, in France Postal Office only works 3 days a week, and almost all POs are closed.
Employees are transporting a far greater number of parcels, with less staff under and more difficult and complicated conditions.

A really useful contribution.
Thanks

You asked for information, I broke it down into simple terms for you.

Thank you very much again for giving us the information that we all already know.
The only question that exists is: the package has already been delivered and it is DHL that says that it does not have it yet (the most likely) or is that they have not yet been delivered by the TD to the transport company.
