It turns out Gmail had been deleting the messages. So fyi anyone who reads this thread, Gmail may automatically delete emails from puretime.

I will add them to the safe senders list.

it really depends on user email preference. usually default is to divert the suspected spam email to spam folder. this works for most of us as we can review our spam folder and retrieve legit email. but some prefers auto deletion for convenience. it has its pros and cons.
