GRF 5205G Thoughts?

Any thoughts? Curious if the calendar is functional as well.

I’m not an expert, but the font looks very bad.

I’m also interested on see what people thinks about this watch.

It's thin, so that's a plus.

1. The date has a crystal in front of it and is so tiny compared to gen.
2. Day and month fonts don't look good or centered, unsure if they are usable too
3. Moonphase disc is terrible, and is most likely a 24 disc
4. Dial isn't finished as good as gen.

This GRF is similar to the KMF released in july 2018/re-released in january 2019. They didn't even bother to change the crescent moon, which they did when they updated the 5396.

At 10 am the moon is a correct full moon:

At 10 pm the moon is a crescent moon, in the gen it's a full moon:

majwilliams0308 I think the month, date and day are usable like in the earlier versions: The month had to be changed manually, while day and date changed daily. And the moonphase was a day/night indicator. But this has to be confirmed.

Fonts of day/date/month looks bad and misaligned.

The date font to me is the deal killer, what is the weird little glass they have there ? They nailed the case, can live with the moon, but the date is just awful

ZF just released the new calatrava, whose case shape is similar. So I am hoping ZF also reps this one as the fixes are really easy to make this an amazing rep on one of the cooler pateks

molivio exactly my thoughts. ZF have made a spectacular effort with the 5227. Also date wheel looks good like on their 5296. They also did the working moonphase on the JLC ultra thin.
So if ZF where up to it we could have a 5205 and 5396 with working moon phase, good case shape, dials and aligned date wheel font.

I've been looking at the video from Trusty on this watch. http://www.trustytime01.cc/index.php...ducts_id=20293

The dial on the blue one is actually really nice. It has this shade of black like when you see videoes of the gen. Also the font of the month and day is the same. The date font is the same also, but smaller and looks deeper. Main problem with the calendar complications are that they don't look aligned.
Godfathar has the 5396G-011 which has these same issues. In an earlier conversation i recall him saying that the deep date and font isn't a problem on the wrist. I don't know his opinion on this release though.

Although the moon phase being a day/night indicator isn't a big issue for me, but it has a crescent moon at the evening, which they could've easily made a full moon. Although it's a small issue.

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on the 5205G-013 (blue dial). The case shape, size and profile looks very similar to the gen and dial looks really nice.

Never mind It was the date changing during the night. The date complications are well aligned on the version i've got. Will maybe make a review when i get the watch.

chiccovn stunning mate. Its beautiful. Yes but this grf has fewer flaws than the the previous version.
It doesn't have a moonphase. But that oersinakky I think is acceptable. I never use my watches more than a few days anyway. And moonphase takes time to see.
the date is smaller and has another fon .
The moon/stars are silver, should've been white. And there is a half moon instead of full moon. But I think this part is moddable.
mine blue dial is on the way.

Yeah that's a common error. If it's not neat gold, then it's heat sold haha
