I just checked out the gen videos on Youtube and the gen PP 324SC has semi-progressive date change starting from 11:00 or 11:30 P.M. Many JLC models don't have date function.
9015 is bad for replicating most other brands as they have bi-directional inhouse/ETA-based movements with date-flip at 0:00 (IWC 8xxxx/5xxxxx, AP3120, VC 1126/1120) while the miyota 9015 is uni-directional and has progressive date change.
Therefore, 9015 + deco plate is good enough for PP and JLC reps.
I would very much appreciate it if anyone can tell me how to replace 9015 with a 2892. I want to swap in a 2892 into the JJF 9015 VCO, but I don't know if the 9015 fitted crown/ stem height/ movement holder can be changed to fit the 2892.
