Ever since I received a PM from a member a while back asking me information about this watch
And I can't get this magnificent combo out of my head.. I have the 5227G with a Patek Philippe original gen strap that I have spoken about many time..
And to tell you the truth, before seeing the image with the grey strap, I have never thought I will buy the rose gold version... I have been content with the 5227G, but when I saw it, I couldn't shake it off my head.. and after couple of months of resisting, I placed the order with a Spaniard Bull we all heard of.. knowing for EU to EU shipment, it will take about a month to arrive, and this will give me enough time to place the order on the strap.. and after shooting an email to CF, it appeared that this strap in the picture with the guy in the snow is actually a CF strap that is produced for PP, I got the exact color code for it easily, and with having a 5227 with me, I knew also the measurements of the watch. the color code is not available on the website, as it is a special color, so only by email you will be able to get the actual code of it, it is not the same as the available grey on the website. And of course with some consultation with the consigliere (_DC_), he gave me the blessing for the new order..
and 2 weeks later, the below arrived..
Only having to wait an extra 3 weeks making the wait for wearing the watch 5 weeks all in all.. Damn that was a long wait but to tell you the truth, all worth it.. below, you will see the sequence of getting the package until wearing the watch.. I hope you will enjoy..
The watch came actually with a very very dark brown rep strap (almost black), I didn't even want to touch it, thankfully that it had the quick release (INTERCHANGEABLE SYSTEM) so one sec later the strap was off the watch.. I also ordered the CF strap with the same pin system to avoid the hassle of installing the strap..
And the end product after installing the buckle on the 5227R watch!!!
wait for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!....

And of course, we can't get a complete thread without some nice wristies.. after watching the wrist shots, go back up and compare it to the original picture (first pictures I posted here that inspired the combo)
a pictorial comparison between the 5227G with PP strap, and the 5227R with custom Camille Fournet strap.
I hope you like it..
