Pam 1122 new rubber bezel model

Thanks for sharing. It looks good in color. It may look boring in life, but many dark shades are what I love.
I understand that the parts are not entirely rubber, but just a coating, such as pushers and a crown on classic ROOs.?

I actually think it looks pretty cool. I'd have to see it in person though before I make a final judgment on it.
I do think it is overpriced though. Especially considering Panerai modified the P. 9010 movement in 2020 and eliminated the hacking seconds.
But with all the pieces already allotted, that might cause the market price to rise too.
But a rep? I'd be all over it. The dial looks like it would be cool. I love the dome of the crystal against the dark dial and black bezel.

Similar to the 1662, dial is graduated black and the bezel rubber (a Pam Rubber Clad)..
One thing for me was, I loved the 1662 in the pics but when it arrived, I wasn't blown away by it, it took a while for me to come round to the 1662.
Could be the same with this one, as stated by KOT1917 it may look good in the pics but may disappoint IRL.
If VSF do try to rep it, I do hope they do a better job of a pitted TI case, the case on the 1662 is too smooth!

Interesting because I had the same impression of the 1663. I loved it in pics but I got it and I was just "meh" when on wrist. It didn't really do much for me.
I was thinking the same Thing about the dial too but in my head I said "reminds me of the 1663".

Yes, same thing happened with me. I ordered 1662 right when it came out due to the pics, but the actual watch looked kinda "meh" when it arrived.
Good question, but I would definitely like to see a rep with a dome. Even so, their choice is not so great. And of course, if VSF makes the right shape.
Given the latest news, chances are that they have something to do at this moment, and they will not do what they saw in the photo. And during this time, additional information about the actual form of crystal, and watch at all, may appear.

What Panerai really should have done was take is current record and try to make the watch take pressure up to his record of 139 meters deep. I mean that would add some character and interesting details to the model. In my opinion.
Eta: nvm it's water resistant to 300 meters. I though I say it only had 100m.

just a headsup. 100m water resitance does not mean it is certified/tested to go to 100m and explode at 101..

It would have been nice yes, although if technically Nery went in constant weight to 139m, his record has not been validated because the target on the scaled rope the freediver is lined to got wrongly placed 10 meters too low by the technical team.
Of course that does not take anything out of the great athlete he is, and an amazing performance that is.
Back to the watch, I don't know if Panerai thought about that but that would have give the watch a very special credit to read "139m" in reference to Nery's raw performance for sure.

Vsf could do this easily and I think it would be a big hit with a large number of people wanting it because it’s different but it’s really just a cross betweeen a 1662 and a 1663 with a rubber bezel. Would be nice. I’d love to try this if it’s done well.
Of course, this is not VSF quality, but while they are on vacation, lower tier cheap reps factories do the same.

Typically, these factories do what VSF misses, so there is a high probability that we may not see the best.
