PAM 684 - bezel fail? - advise needed

Hi folks,
Question for yall. I bought this PAM 684 a couple months ago from a TD here. After a few wears, I turned the bezel a few clicks ...then all the way around to 12 marker. Felt ok. A few days later, I tried it again ..and this time it felt a little loose. Then next thing I know, it popped right off. Now, I know these are reps. But this is a ~$350 watch, not a canal street crap. After a few uses, I shouldn't expect it to fall apart.

What do you guys advise ...is this an easy fix that I can do or take somewhere or should the TD be responsible for this?

Hate to say it but after a few months it’s probably out of your TD’s wheel house. Hopefully a minor repair and it’s up and going again. Fingers crossed!

just well clean bezel insert underside and metal bezel top side.

- use some plastic tooling to avoid damge to the metal

This black 3m really sticks well.

Every time I see this, I wonder how much profit the Chinese rep factories make. Reps cost $300+ and still we see this kind of poor job everyday..... Sigh.

i think ~50-70$ per piece. The final price includes dealer profit and the support that offered (replace in case that been held in customs, etc.)
Having a bezel insert with light glue isn't a major fault, can be fixed in less than 10'.
Having a bezel insert glued with a tough glue that cause corrosion on the back of the insert, doesn't help in case of misalignment or changing the insert.

Don't forget that this is a hobby and not a watch market.
Every penny has value but when we buy 97% of a product at 1/50 of its' MSRP, we have to understand that the "serious" QC will be done from us.

I appreciate your feedbacks so far. I see you mentioning tape and or glue. This bezel rotates around the face. If I glue it, wouldn't it no longer rotate around the face? Sorry for dumb question..I've only bought a few watches, never had to do repairs like this.

What came off was just the insert, not the bezel itself. The bezel is what rotates around the dial (case). It's like only the horse came off the merry go round, not the entire merry go round. You glue that to the case and it won't rotate of course. But the recommendations here are to attach the insert and fix it to the rotating bezel using an adhesive. The recommended and safe method would be to pop the bezel ring and then attach the bezel insert (so there isn't any potential for the adhesive to fix the bezel to the case). After it dries, reattach the bezel ring. But if you're really judicious about how much and where to put the adhesive then doing it while the bezel is attached to the case shouldn't be an issue.

No mod required on this. 3 x drops of super glue , careful not to glue the bezel to the case, drop the insert in, press, 5 seconds it’s good to go.

I thought you were referring to removing the bezel and then reattaching the insert which is the safest way. Didn't mean the process required modding but removing the bezel requires experience with modding something I do not have.

No, I don’t see the need to remove the bezel here. I have done this myself on an older PAM with great results using precision glue
