The anticipatory photos usually show gen, so there is no reason to speculate yet.

Their past PAM779, apparently (none have yet posted a photo to the owl on the scales), was titanium, so the PAM177, I suppose, will be titanium too.

I really hope that we will not see the extra thick cutouts of the sandwich, as it was on the PAM111 and PAM915, for example. Moreover, I have already heard about the PAM111 HWF V2, but have not yet seen the photo, and I do not know how it differs.

And of course, I really hope for a crystal without blue AR at some angles.

However, these are just my hopes, but for now - we are waiting. :)

is that a 177?, look like a 118? doesn't appear to have the sandwich dial. its quite possible the AR is different between the models as one is older than the other and panerai changed them around a little from time to time.

If your photo is PAM177, then G series, without sandwich. On many pam of those years there was a blue effect in AR, later on most models it was gone.
And even when he was, he looked completely different than what is usually offered by reps, and in particular HWF. Watch any video with HWF model, and then on youtube any bettarini pam, early 2000s, and you will understand what I mean.

They have been improving, but at a snail pace. Ay this rate, I wouldn’t hold any high expectations.

Where are they improving, in your opinion, papabear244?

Remember how at the start they were using non branded movements? They changed that since the 005 with the display casebacks. I expect it to be here too. Not the best engravings though. And the 634 at the beginning did not have the lever engraved, somehow they fixed that mid way thru the run.
And the lume was crappy on the early models too. I think they are better now.

As for movement, the use of unbranded on models with solid caseback seems to me more a reasonable way to save money than a disadvantage. But I don't think it can be positioned as an improvement, for example, PAM111 over PAM005. I'm sure the next model is with a solid caseback, and it's not branded again. Moreover, on PAM111 it was finished at the level (Returned in 2010 at its best) ...

Speaking of luma, yes, on some models, in any case, the glow of the hands and the dial is almost equal, but I do not have a final opinion as to whether it has become better or worse, a photograph can convey this flaw, only in terms of compatibility, or when it critically bad.

As for the engraving of the PAM634 lever, I didn't know they fixed it and started engraving it...

Go over to RWG and select Perfect Clones as the TD , there are 176 AND 177 in stock for now. Once gone, they are gone. AND they are the legit H Factory remnants. WAAAY better than HWF

I looked at his site, and, frankly, pretty much every PAM in the universe is listed there, including Mare Nostrum, GPF 2/56, and 341. I would be VERY surprised if he indeed has a 176/177 in stock.
