I just got this in from TD Trusty. Here are my thoughts:

QC Pics were accurate.

Overall, very impressed! The quality is very high. I would not hesitate to buy another if I feel like having a different color, or if I want to wear one on each wrist.

Removing the shipping plastic from the watch itself was pretty hard, especially the pieces inside the clasp. (didn't want to use tools and scratch the metal, toothpicks took forever)

It was nicely waterproofed, I submerged it and its fine.

The microadjust feature in the clasp is fantastic, I had a Gen SM300 without that, and wearing it was not great when it gets hot.

Adjusting the bracelet length was tricky, the link has two screws that are caps, and inside is a pin that just slides out after the caps are removed.

The link screws have very thin slots, a custom screwdriver was needed. (I just sandpapered the bit thinner till it fit properly)

One must be SUPER careful with screws this tiny, If I dropped one, I am sure I will NEVER find it.

The bracelet itself had pretty sharp edges. it felt scratchy. not sharp enough to cut you, but just felt scratchy. I took some 3000 grit sandpaper and took some of the edge off.

The inner links that are shiny also had sharp edges, I left those alone because using 3000 grit would change the finish, its not really noticeable while on my wrist.

The clasp was big and thick, and I feel it balanced the watch nicely.

The rubber strap was really nice. details on it were great. the buckle was solid and hefty. It is molded to be bent downwards too.

The spring bars were robust too.

Putting on the rubber strap was hard. getting the bar into the 2nd hole was a challenge, but after alot of pushing and moving, it went in. Both sides was like this.

I was surprised of the excellent fit and look of the strap. The watch was balanced nicely too, even without the weight of the bracelet and robust clasp on the other side, Fits my 6.75" cold wrist rather nicely.

I think I now prefer the look of the strap over the bracelet, but regardless, having both is the best.

I am so impressed, the level of quality is much higher than I was expecting. I feel it matches the quality level of the Gen I had, but is not as good as the Quality of my VSF Sub ootb.

Heres a bunch of iphone pics. :)

Looks really good, I’ve just got the VSF Sub and have had a VSF planet ocean too. Great factory.

Enjoy your new watch and thanks for posting.

Thanks for such a detailed review and amazing pictures! This really helps others. I got a Deepsea from Andrew (Noob) and had similar issues with the bracelet. I had to do a lot of smoothing and polishing to get smooth function, but I am ok with that. At least in the end it looks and feels like a quality product (after all, it is genuine SS/titanium/saphire etc, so quality materials). A rep is fraction of the cost of a gen, so it will not be perfect, however after a bit of work, to have something that is pretty much indistinguishable from gen, is nice for us working class folks.

Hey miscusi how is that rep working and feeling?

I already talked to Andrew about the same model but grey dial, same VSF 2018 V2

Great review and pics. I love mine as well.

One thing I notice on mine is when I wind the watch, it seems a bit stiff. Other than this, zero issues so far.

I found getting the rubber strap on was brutal as well....now that's it's on....I'm afraid to swap it off.
