Omega Planet Ocean Big Blue Color Difference?

I'm looking to order a Big Blue, but both intime and chazing have a more bright glossy looking blue instead of the original darker, slightly more satin version. Is this just the camera flash causing this or is it the fact that it uses stainless steel instead of ceramic and the color doesn't match?

Never rely on a picture... TDs take pictures with a compact camera ( AKA Point and Shot)
Gen companies usually pay a grand to a Pro photographer the show their watches at their best (and sometimes they look better in the pics than in the real life)

I thought something similar, but I can't find any amateur photos of the Big Blue that look anything like the rep watches. The blue is just so vivid, while it's much more tame on the original. I actually think now that it's because the case is steel on the reps and ceramic on the original.

Reps can't get their blue to look right. It's not really easy. The blue can never be 100% accurate to the gen. On it's own it may look ok, but once it's side by side with a gen, the difference would be obvious especially the colour. Just look at the blue Aqua Terra and SMP reps. Close, but only just.

Thanks I'm glad someone else came to the same consensus as me, none the less I will still order it as it looks absolutely stunning. A watch like that here is super rare so I doubt I will ever find someone with a gen to compare.
