It's a shame - those miyota style movements are terrible and you can't swap them out for a full blown ETA

While myself also prefer the eta clone movement for the higher beat, the miyota is also a very reliable workhorse movement. Many factories have turn to the miyota due to the very low faulty rate.
Haven't you seen all the stuttering issues with the miyota style movements?

The stuttering is not all that common, and is not considered faulty also, its not affecting the time keeping.
Either way, just swap it out if you got one with the issue, the cost of a 8215 is only half of an ETA clone.
Gen's got glossy dial. This looks like previous version of planet ocean with new orange numerals.
Fair enough - well said. My only other issue is the noisy rotor with them. You can hear a miyotas rotor coming down the street.

That applies to the miyota 9015, and sadly is their weak point. However my 8215 seems quiet enough compared to an ETA clone (i just went to shake one of my PO with 8215 to confirm).
Miyota or 28XX? If it's ETA based, it's nice to see the decorations improved. Now if they could just make the balance wheel black!

I'm getting 12 hour power reserve from my miyota, kinda disappointing to set the time every day. Plus noticable stuttering but not real bad. I have had much worse 21j movements. ETA clone is suppose to get about 40 hours but from my experience it is less. Still better than 12 though.
Btw, regardless, beautiful watch and movement.
