So I've had a VSF seamaster for quite some time. It is a lovely watch, but many of you may know it has a big flaw. The shiny bits on the bracelet are flat, while the endlinks have a more rounded profile to those pieces.
So I recently saw thar ORF had released a version of this watch, and the bracelet was correct! I managed to get an ORF bracelet to retrofit to my VSF. Yay me!
You can see that this bracelet looks much better.
I did find that the VSF clasp was better though. The quick size adjustment was much smoother in the VSF. Also, on both bracelets there are a couple links on each side of the clasp that don't have the polished bits. The links on the ORF were different in length and didn't look as good, so I used those from the VSF as well. My VSF clasp had some scratches:
So I used my trusty green scotch Brite pad:
After scotch brite:
You can see the difference between the two bracelets:
I'm happy to report that the ORF endlinks fit perfectly in the VSF watch head. I now have what I believe to be a super rep.
