Rimowa Watch Travel Case

As many of you know puretime is selling rep Rimowa watch cases. I was actually planing on ordering one when I had the chance to get a gen one from my last business trip with lufthansa.

The cases really feel like a high quality product and their size makes them the perfect watch case. For the foam insert I tried a few different designs but I think the simplest design is still the best one.
The traditional cutouts like in the puretime design might look better but also have that disadvantage that the watch always has some room to move around.
Unfortunately I still have not figured out how I can cut foam precisely with a clean finish. But thanks to my local foam dealer I have enough to experiment with.

You usually get the cases for free if you fly frist class with Lufthansa (you can get them also in business class if you specifically ask for it). But they are also on ebay (~$40+).

Not just LH F, you can get variations of the same case with BR Y long-haul (intercontinental), TG (lots of colours to collect), and NH. I kept a few Rimowas around from NH but only ended up with a Bogner kit on the only LH flight I've been on. I do have one of those official LH rubber duckies though after traversing through Frankfurt.
