So I got this cheap quartz date just i took out the quartz movement and I was wondering can I just drop an automatic movement in the case ???
If so what would be the best yet most cost-effective movement to grab?
for example would a DG2813 work in it?

Thank you

Your quartz movement has a name and probably some model number, search this number here;

Dm, Do, H, T - For a direct swap, you need to find an automatic movement which has those dimensions the same like yours quartz movement.

If you want to use your 'quartz" hands - check the diams of the hands too, but imho chances are slim to none that quartz hands with fit to the auto movement.

Not feasible. You need a movement ring too to hold the automatic movement in the case.
