Replacement bezel gasket for ARF 116610 sub

I removed the bezel on my ARF 116610 and haven't been able to get it back onto the case. I think the bezel gasket somehow got stretched out, and I can't fit it back into the retaining ring. Are there any replacements that would work for this?

I found this but not sure if it'll work

I have a pack of those and in my experience they got swallowed completely by the bezel groove and were useless. They are too thin in height and width (diameter is OK). What you can do is boil some water and put your ARF gasket in for about 5 minutes, it will shrink up and go back to close to its original shape and size.

I actually saw your original thread about that and tried it, unfortunately it didn't shrink enough so I think it might've stretched out too much

You can cut out the worst part. The gasket will work with a portion missing. It will even work in two pieces, but try to keep as much material as possible.

BTW rep bezel gaskets usually have a stairstep profile on the inner side where it contacts the retaining ring lip. Examine it closely because it matters which way it goes. IIRC ARF gaskets go "bottom step" toward the insert. The bezel gets held more tightly against the case depending on the orientation of the gasket. If you get it on and it won't rotate or it's too tight, flip the gasket to the other orientation.

I have exactly the same problem and soo frustrating. Some youtube video make it look dead simple off and on in single attempt. I then tried it just to find that i cannot install the same bezel ????????

did you get to install the bezel in the end?

I think mine got too disfigured to use, even after I tried boiling it, so I still can't put it back on

I saw someone mention these gaskets in another thread, but can't confirm whether they work or not

It's great that you were able to make these. 3D printer? Maybe you could make some for the slightly smaller 116x bezels too. A little better pic of the one installed would be appropriate.

I actually made it first for the 116610 model and then tweaked it to work with the 126610 model.

My VSF 126610 is now repaired. Now that this is tested I will be offering these up for sale soon
