You have to reinstall these bezels with the insert removed. See the 8 sided wire inside the bezel? Find an end of the wire, pull it completely out of the bezel with some needle nose pliers. Set the bezel on the case, then reinsert the wire in its bezel groove and UNDER THE CASE RETAINING RING, one-eighth segment at a time. Test for proper operation. Then reinstall the insert, of course aligning it with 12 o'clock.

First things first, your watch is not noob v7.
Since v5 noob bezel has gen spec bezel assembly. Your bezel has a wire spring and only one bezel "click-ball" which is not gen spec.
Considering the SEL and a cyclops - it is noob v1/regmariner (if it is noob watch at all).

With regard to the bezel installation - there are two options.
1st option - you do not need to remove a bezel insert, just press the bezel harder (it not impossible to get it on, you need to apply more pressure and press the bezel).
2nd option - if you do not belive that you can press it on - you need to remove the wire from the bezel, and remove the insert, then:
- place the bezel on the case,
- stick the wire between a watch' case and the bezel, it may require some dexternity in manipulating the bezel to creat enough space for the wire,
- once you install the wire - install the insert.

At the end of the day, I bet you can install it with the 1st option, just press it harded. GL.

k4jun, could the bezel also be pressed on with a crystal press and large enough die to contact the bezel directly?

I ask cause I'm about to endeavor on the same situation and have never done this before.

Sure way to crack the insert is trying to press it on installed. There is not a bezel die that will fit the bezel and miss the insert, plus the pearl adds risk. There is only one correct way to do this. Forcing the wire over the retaining is not it. But if you really want to try it that way, be smart and at least take the insert out first.

Ah, understood.

My scenario, which I should have made more clear, is with a 16710 not a sub.

Thanks for the input.

5 digit, aluminum insert?

That bezel should snap back on easily with just hand pressure. If it doesn't you could probably use a press and bezel die. I generally wait to put inserts in the first time until after the bezel is on. You can't align it perfectly unless the bezel is in place first.

Yes, the aluminum 5-digit insert.

That's a good point about the insert going in after bezel is on for alignment purposes. They don't say that in the YouTube videos :D

I originally tried to reinstall it with some force but it wouldn't click back down into place, I think 2nd option is the way to go, thanks for your help, I'll try to keep this project updated,

Choosing the 2nd option is GOOD !!!
It may help if you check the tutorial I did 2 years ago about removing and putting back on a "paperclip spring bezel".
I saw your post yesterday so I've just reuploaded all the pics ... cause as we all know :ttiwwop:

That tuto is for a Silix 6538 case but you can proceed the same with any paperclip style bezel.
And you will see that I work "insert off" ;)

Thanks everyone especially K4Jun for helping me with solutions to my situation, my bezel is now fixed and is working better than before.

I will also include what I did to resolve this with help from K4jun

I simply took of the retaining wire of my version of the bezel on my watch, and I reshaped it with the 8 corners, i simply flexed them a little wider so that it would fit more snug so that it would have good contact with the case bezel groove and the bezel groove, It was tricky because it would lift away so I used a thin screw driver or a tooth pick and applied a little pressure on the sides of the wire as I seated the bezel back into the Groove of the bezel, hope this helps anyone who experienced my problem..
