New ZF JLC Master Control Date

Saw this pop up on Puretime and my interest is piqued. Looks pretty good at first glance, but would love to hear the opinions of the sub.

That is a stunner. Is it gen? I don't see a blue(?) or black(?) dial version.

It's a rep, and black dial. I've had it for almost a year, it runs perfectly. It's always a treat to wear it.

Looks like this specific reference was released at Watches and Wonders 2020. The blued seconds hand and matching blue text datewheel is a nice touch. Trying to decide between this and the ZF Vacheron Constantin Fifty-Fifty-Six.

Love the look of this one too - very tempted. Such a nice clean dial and the blue date is a nice touch.

I have this version and it's lovely to look at. But I don't like how noisy the movement is.

Nice! It's a fairly simple mod to silence the rotor. I have my watchmaker silence all my noisy rotors when he services them.

Did anyone order this rep yet and care to comment?

I joined the forum to see if a Memovox was repped, but I've done a little digging and am thinking it's not likely. Maybe the Master Control date with tan strap would do the same job. Not sure I'd want to be the first man in though, been years since I bought a rep - no feel for what's what, or who's who anymore. Think my last rep was an Explorer 'noob' and it was excellent apart from the bracelet.

If you look at the QC video the seconds hand is definitely blue(as is the datewheel). The hour and minute hands are satin silver.

Nice shots.

There are a few minor flaws on this zf version but nothing neckbreaking. I am really triggered to get one.
The numbers on the dial are not as rounded as the on the GEN. Of course the open case back with an decorated movement is a flaw but the decoration is pretty nice.
The JJ Logo on the dial is also wrong. On the GEN the J does not touch the L. It might be an optical illusion on the GEN pics so I am curious on your opinions.

In the end we buy this watches for ourselfs to enjoy them and appreciate their beauty.
I want them to be close but if its a really beautiful watch and not too common I can life with minor flaws.

Is there any other thread on this watch which might be a bit longer?

I've yet to order as I'm strongly considering the gen(big wedding anniversary). Can't decide if I should get the Reverso because there's not a good rep available or the Master Control because I like it better. I've seen no pictures posted anywhere of the the rep on the wild yet.

for me its a watch to go REP first to see if I really like it. But hey if you do really like it go gen.

Justthe reverso might be a better investment cuz its the legendary JLC watch.

My anniversary is in October. I'll have either a rep or gen Master Control on my wrist by then. As an aside, I'm working with some TDs trying to source a "domestic only" ZF Day & Night handwound Reverso. I believe it's 2mm thicker than gen(disappointing), but I'm waiting to hear back.
