I didn’t know the gray dial gen was white gold. Steel and white gold does not look or feel the same, thus there will never be convincing rep of the gray dial one. ????

I gathered that it was gold after the pic Livaren posted. Too expensive to be SS lol. But yup.. the weight is a giveaway to anyone that knows watches

Got my QC, the marker at 6 is crooked so I had to ask if they could fix it or exchange it.

The 12 o clock marker seems off too, but only if you look really hard for it. The dual-markers are not lined up parallel.

You do have a very nice date wheel on that copy though.

close up of the center. the 12 o clock markers are at different heights, and all hour markers seem to come off of the dial at an angle at the narrow end. So odd.

It’s strange that most of the markers seem off if you take the dots as guidance. Many are visually slightly off. Is there crystal distortion on this watch, or is the crystal flat?

I saw the silver in a westfield today and in the cabinet i could make out sunburst on the dial but wasn't strong, although the lighting is far from natural

The markers are supposed to be like that, with the tip not touching the dial and creating that nice shadow effect, as far as I remember from seeing the gen.

That's true, but the problem here is the angle of the markers

Yes they are not flat on the Dial. Are there some news about the new batch ZF is doing for the black Dial? Are they released?

Watchfinder has a watchsmith in house who has aligned a few markers for me in the past. They opened the watch up and fixed the markers because the watch is good besides the misaligned markers (0s/d regulated, no beat error and excellent date alignment etc). I am more than pleased with this. The 12 o clock still looks slightly off but not anything worth making a fuss over. It could even be a lighting issue.
