Strap quality on the ZF Bronze Big Pilot

I was just wondering if anyone has bought the ZF Bronze Big Pilot and has an opinion on the strap quality. I'm really interested in buying one and I'd like to keep the standard strap on it as it's kind of iconic in its own right with the double bronze rivets. I also don't want to fork out the $400 or so to get a gen strap if the ZF leather strap is garbage. Anyone have one of these and what do you think of the strap?

I don't have the 501005 Bronze but I have the 501004 titanium. FWIW I think the zf straps are pretty good. I have 3 gen straps and my biggest gripe is that the second keeper is not as tight as gen usually - but still good enough for the price (can shrink it with water and heat).

you can get a lot of very well made aftermarket pilot straps for 100 bux. The one which comes with bronzo is absolutely too short, unless you are girl... it is pretty stiff, too...

Hmm, that is good to know. A lot of Chinese straps end up being too short for me. Where do they sell $100 rep straps for it?

I'm about to get the 501004 and I'll see how the strap is, otherwise I'm always prepared to spend 80 euro for a Jacob's

I got the "Big Pilot IW501004 Titanium ZF" and the strap is way too stiff, so will order a new strap.
