Actually the triangle up top is positioned differently. Maybe a cross between the 500901 and the 500912? I don't know..

Once again - as in the discussion rep of 5001/5007 - we have a bit "optimistic" numbering of the rep factories or the TDs. This rep is a rep of the IWC 5004 (or the old version of 5009) and NOT of the actual version 5009. The actual (2016) 5009 has differences in dial design!
And yes, there are circular ring textures in the subdial of the rep 5004 and the gen 5004. Possibly a little bit finer rings on the gen. But to see this without magnifiers is impossible.

For what I know, the first 5009 (500901) was released in 2012. Identical in case, movement and dial with the 5004. Only 2 things was chanched: the clasp and the way the stem was connected to the movement. In January 2016, a new 5009 (500912) was released with some changes on dial (eg. "9" is now visible) and a new caseback. So, the new ZF 5009 can be a 5004 or a 5009 (500901), depends on the kind of clasp is on the strap.

It looks like the repped version is the 2012 version of the iw5009. Looks pretty spot on to me.

Thats it! The ZF looks really good and I am a few seconds away to send my order.
Got a gen in my hands last week and the winding was very smooth and feels perfect like a really masterpice in watchmaking. That could be the biggest difference to ZF. May perhaps one of the ZF 5009 owners tells how it feels to wind it?

Well it's definitely not on the same level as the gen, but in my experience so far with my 500901 it winds very smoothly, it definitely has a quality feel. Don't hesitate to pick one up its a great watch!
Looks like DAYSI is fixed on it. However the crown is super chromed out, is it supposed to be that shiny?
Thanks for your recommendation mate, Pilot is ordered. Also additional brown croc Orloff strap is ordered. I think its a good choice and reliable watch.

I have a 7" wrist. Standard size really. On the strap, I use the 4th hole out of 7.
