    I bought the ugliest Datejust

I was walking by a juweler in Amsterdam. Looked in de window and my eye fell on what I thought was the ugliest DJ i’d ever seen. But, thought it was in pretty good nick and decided the purchase it. Searched the Bay for a dial, bezel and bracelet and came out pretty nice. Fun and fast little project!

This week on "Pimp My Rolex"...

Opinions vary. I've certainly seen uglier DJs than that, to me it was just the standard DJ. You've blinged it out. We all like what we like. Enjoy it!

And for the record, if I ever were to customize a DJ, while I don't know about gems, mother of pearl for the dial would be the way I'd go.

It started off blinged, the photos are just in the wrong order.
Check out the ones labelled before and after.

Lol. At first I thought you transformed that gorgeous TT DJ into that hideous, jeweled mess until I saw your before and after pics. Good work. Sell that bling crap to a jeweler or on eBay. Women and pimps with poor taste love that crap.

Lol! That’s not the I order i uploaded the pics in. Hence the before and after pics. But yes! The bezel and the dial with the crappy stones were sold pretty quick. The guy loved it! They even installed a crystal because of the hight of the aftermarket bezel. Had to change that to an acrylic one.

Beautiful restoration. The before was hurting my eyes.

Haha I was about to say the gold dial jubilee DJ is one of the best looking classic Rolex I could ever imagine, worn by some of the most inspirational men in history and to butcher it with that dial and gems... I am so happy to read it went the other way... a Rolex's life is a saved and a human's credibility is restored (somewhere there is a used car salesman missing his baby).
