The best way to describe this would be a Rolex Sea Dweller in bronze. I saw this a while ago, and it resurfaced more recently, prompting the purchase. The watch has a solid weight to it, and feels balanced on the wrist. The bronze bezel with green ceramic insert is unidirectional and lines up with all dial markings, as well as having a reassuring click with each movement. The anti-reflective coating does its job, and keeps the dial readable even under direct sunlight, and the lume is excellent, with only my Boschett Harpoon being brighter. The bronze case will age nicely over time, and hopefully meld with the green bezel insert and dial to create a desirable looking watch. The sapphire crystal display caseback reveals the ETA 2824-2, which has been ticking away reliably over the past week with amazing accuracy (-7 seconds over a week of continuous use). While this is basically a straight replication of the Rolex SD, the design looks good in bronze, and it seems to "fit" the style. Ancon also offers stainless steel models of this featuring a Miyota 9015 for a lower price point, which I may delve into in the future.

The specifications are as follows:

- Hours, minutes, seconds and quick set date at 3 o'clock position.
- CuSn8 Bronze case, brushed finishing, 43.5mm diameter excluding crown, 52mm from lug to lug, 16.5mm thick, 21mm Lug, steel with see-through (sapphire crystal) case back.
- Swiss made ETA 2824-2 automatic movement, 25 jewels, power reserve 38 hours up, 28,800 vibrations per hour.
- Green with Super Luminova luminous hour markers.
- CuSn8 Bronze screw-down crown, 8mm diameter, Water-resistance to 500 meters (1650 feet).
- 43mm CuSn8 Bronze uni-directional rotating bezel with Green ceramic insert, 120 clicks, engraved with elapsed time markings, 4mm flat Sapphire Crystal.
- Rubber strap with CuSn8 Bronze buckle.
- 130 grams excluding strap.

Ancon makes some very nice bronze watches. I have a M26 Tank and may look into picking up this Sea Shadow. Thanks for the review and pictures.

Wasn't expecting the bezel to be lumed, nice touch... looks like a tank of a watch, great choice!
