A lot of times, first time posters will quickly post a thread asking "who has the best whatever watch", or "is this site trusted", or "who is the best dealer".
I think there are two big reasons for this. One of the reasons is that the Newbie is too lazy to do some quick research on this board before posting. Another reason is because a lot of this information that Noobs need to get going is scattered everywhere throughout the board. This can be confusing to a first time poster, and in order to solve this confusion, they just post their thread anyway.
To the noobs, these first time threads mentioned above that are posted by newbies are very much frowned upon by many people here, and usually you will not get anything except a sarcastic remark. I used to be there, I know. This helps no one as you will get no good answers and people will not take you seriously because you didn't do your research.
Ultimately this forum is here to give everyone help, and save people from being ripped off and/or scammed, as well as being a great place for enthusiasts of this wonderful hobby to come together.
With this being said, I am creating this thread to ultimately help the Noobs out. This thread will be a centralized location for all of the threads a Noob will need to get started. These threads will get you educated enough to possibly save the embarrassment of posting that "who has the best sub" thread.
Before posting these kinds of threads, please read through all of the threads listed below. If you do so, you may just be educated enough to make your decision without even having to post that first embarrassing thread.
First up is a Beginners guide written by our very own FakeMaster:
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/some-tips-buying-your-first-30666
This thread has a lot of excellent information and includes just about everything to get you started in buying your replica watch.
Next up is a list Scam sites that are out there, which was also put together by FakeMaster:
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/...ealer-list-44299?t=44299&highlight=scam+sites
Up next, which coincides with the list of scam sites, is a link to Trusted Dealers:
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/ (toward bottom of the page)
These dealers have gone through extensive trials by the mod/admin team here to become a trusted dealer. These are the only dealers recommended here by the RWI mod/admin team as well as 99% of the members.
If you are wondering about their ratings, here is the thread that has the dealers ratings:
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/latest-rwi-dealers-ratings-and-43088
This thread was put together by Rooster and includes all of the Trusted Dealers of RWI.
Next is the link for Fakey's Corner:
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/forumdisplay.php/fakeys-corner-145
There is a plethora of information in here and one can learn a lot about a lot in here. There are several tutorials in here, so if you have a "how to" question, this place might be the best place to look.
Another good place to look for "how to" questions would be here:
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/forumdisplay.php/tutorials-50
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/forumdisplay.php/watch-modification-repair-questions-53
There are plenty of other tutorials in here that cover just about everything about replica watches you can think of.
Finally, if none of these threads help you out, give the search function a try:
Like I said before, information on this board is scattered all over the place, but everything replica watch that you can think of is in this board. Try to use the search function and finding your answer before posting your questions, because odds are that your question has already been answered on here before.
Finally, welcome aboard to RWI! This should be enough information to get you on your feet. Everyone here is very friendly and will help you out so long as you do a little research before hand. Give these links above a try, then if you still have a question or are still having problems, feel free to post. If you have done your research first, people here will have no problems with helping you out with your needs.
Mods, I ask that you make this a sticky and lock this, so that this thread will not be lost for the Noobs to find. Ultimately I think this will save the mods/admins time as much as it will the First Timers.
