I bought this Tank Solo Large from Chrono24 with kind of a good deal. Got it today and just want to have some opinions about its authenticity. I know it is really hard to tell just looking at the watch but I opened the case back and the movement does look genuine to me. Any expert can help me verify its authenticity. I have checked its serial number on Cartier's website and the number is legit. But I read somewhere it said even the serial number couldn't guarantee a genuine Cartier. Here are some photos:

your dial font and is def more raised than mine - but what im finding is that dial font changes on Cartiers. The most current iteration of the GEN tank solo large has a very thin cartier logo and cartier signature at 7oclock - very similar to the AF factory look. - I think best bet is to contact an AD and either have them appraise the watch - or send it into cartier.

Hey mcn7710 - there are subtle differences between the RG Solo and Steel Solo. In addition, between small and large.

Having said that, I believe you have a genuine Tank Solo, but do have some things I suggest you look at.

Dial

Regarding the Dial - Your Cartier logo has the minute sharp serifs, especially the key letters. I've not see a replica where it's as sharp.
CARTIER

The small script "CARTIER" in the 7:00 is straight. The "R" almost touches the Roman Numeral upside down "5", again something the replica's don't do.

Though I am 99% sure, if you send more zoomed pics in indirect sunlight, that would help me give you a better determination. Try to take the pictures with some kind of tripod or have the phone on books so there's no shakiness.

Movement

Your movement also looks to be gen. If you look-up a replica movements they generally are Ronda's and look completely different. Yours also has the extra trimmings too. But one thing does concern me... and it might be the picture, is that the engravings for "Cartier" and "690" look thicker than they should be.

Again, here if you have better pictures or recall that the engraving is very sharp in person then let us know.

Have Cartier Take a Look

I'd have Cartier take a look anyway just due to how the movement doesn't quite look new.

Comparison Pictures

In a pinch, I'm not able to get you zoomed shots... but here's what I've put together quickly.

Thanks axel.gold , you have made many great points and so attention to details. I have learned a lot from your comparison. I managed to take some more photos and I strongly believe that mine is a genuine one. The engraving on the movement looks like your gen photo. I called Cartier today and unfortunately, Cartier Australia does not provide an authentication service. But they check the serial and confirmed the SN in their system.
It is so important because this one dated Dec 2018, which is my daughter birth month and year. Thank you so much for your superior help.

Happy to help. And here's a close-up of the Steel Cartier replica... for some reason my side-by-side don''t show big...

And glad to see the sharper movement shots. The engravings look fine to me.
