The Franken journey started when I found the V7F thread (https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...ay-date-blue-v7f-vs-gen-scary-close-super-rep) and fell in love with the Black dial version of the Transocean Day Date. Unfortunately, the black and white dials were made with a copy of the limited edition blue as a reference for the replica thus had slight variations in font and sunburst effect (the differences can be seen on this thread: https://forum.replica-watch.info/forum/breitling-replicas/8614110-breitling-transocean).
I purchased the genuine dial first: The dials are relatively easy to find on eBay and Chrono24. I found one that was relatively cheap, a few scratches here and there but it doesn't bother me. When it arrived I found that the lume did not work.
Next was the watch: I bought it in the sales section (https://forum.replica-watch.info/fo...date-v7-factory-in-black-custom-croc-strap-uk)
Both were then sent to santre22 who did the relume, dial swap, hand swap, day date alignment and rotor replacement (he had the gen rotor as well as the gen hands in his stock):

- Dial Relume:
- Hand Comparison: The rep hands are very hard to distinguish from the gens, there is no need to replace them.
- Rotor Swap: Some oil was found under the rotor (possibly to silence it). The oil was cleaned and a gen rotor was installed to fix the noisy rotor. Santre also installed 3 gen movement tabs.
- Assembly + Timegrapher:
