SIHH 2019: AP predictions

Without going into much discussion as we're still to see more details, here's what I like with the new collection (in order of importance to me):
1. Integrated chronograph;
2. Curved crystal (JF copy that?);
3. The resting lugs (I'd love to get my sticky notes in between those lugs so that I can get my tasks done on time, finally).

HAHA.. So we already have a gen spec case.... T can you source a Cal.4401 for me please you know I'm looking for a gen movement haha

The new movements look absolutely stunning, a real work of art. Can’t say I’m blown away by the case and dial. The finishing and work that’s gone into it sounds incredible but from the pictures it just looks cheap.. it’s like something you’d want a discount code for before buying
I don't mind the case design and certainly appreciate the 2-piece construction -- the fact that its only available in white or rose gold I suppose takes away some of the "cheapness" one could surmise. The "Code 11.59" name is pretty lame. Sounds like something a Facebook Influencer would come up with ...

Well I don’t think anyone could have predicted that!!
I’m honestly shocked, it’s a total departure from everything we have come to love about AP. Maybe it is a slow burner, let’s be honest people didn’t like the Royal Oak at first, but at least it was revolutionary, this is just... meh!
Personally I think this is a huge mistake from AP, the promotional video released on Hodinkee is just weird, he starts talking about how they wanted to do the logo in gold on the enamel dial but haven’t been able to do it yet... what a weird thing to do in a promo video, explaining how you haven’t actually achieved what you wanted to?!
Hate the collection, can’t see that changing, it’s too generic other than case profile... that’s just not enough!

It's official boys and girls: no more 15400s Long live the 15500.
On a separate note, looking at the new models, it seems AP are adopting design solutions that are meant to be hard to replicate. Leaving the 11.59 references aside, how are JF going to fix the date disc on the new 15500 when it almost touches the bezel. That's a recipe for a rep disaster. Hope I'm proven wrong.

Very interesting. Thinking back of the 15300 i enjoyed the update and redefinition of the dial layout. Maybe they come up with something refreshing - couldnt get more shit storm than the 11.59 hehe
when will they be introducing the new RO line, do you have any info about that?
Would be wise to do it 2020 at their own watch fair after they left SIHH.
Regarding the date - isnt it possible to fix this problem with a monstrous DWO? New movements sound also like new monstrous movement decorations...

I was talking about the 15500. of course the new models have nothing to do with the native genta design - inwas refereing only to the alternative of the 15400.
as this new line isnt their priority and also not the watch for the majority of their buyers i highly doubt it is „RIP AP“ - just look at their Jules Audemars line which is present but not one of their main references.
AP is genta - they cannot hide their heritage. Even if this was controversial...

You did wrote that? That was my answer to it
AP is RIP for me was thinking of buying the 15400 but if they dont sell it anymore its pointless i read about that they want to kill the 15400 line thats what iam referring too.
Don't care about there other models really so yeah but i'am not the only one who don't like it (see comments on other blogs).

Nobody who knows AP can possibly like this s h i t
They look cheap even if they are not. You cannot subtract that
