so anyone ordered the new 10.8mmn thin r8 ap tourby yet? i love the blue one; my local shop said its available and he can get it for me for abt $ 820 from China within max 1 week, we share the border with China so its faster LoL.... but i want to wait see if any user review pops up>! just bought the Ap 15400 jf v5 arriving tomorrow morning

I would suggest asking them if they can get it. They do not list everything they can get.

Has anyone confirmed the 10.6mm thick R8 is a reality? I find nothing on any of the TD websites.

Pure Time said they asked R8 factory if they made the tourbillon thinner and they said no changes to thickness. Looks like the 10.6mm thickness is a hoax.

I thought 2mm was a hell of a lot of metal to lose still using the same movement. 1mm maybe but why would they of made the original so chunky if they didnt have to.

The problem is that the thinner looking one is not for sale at a TD.

Why not get the JF tourbillon?

At only 11mm seems better than the R8 one. Although JF's tapisserie is the older version tourbillon.

Any thoughts on the JF version compared to the R8? Besides thickness and the tapisserie.
