EU asks Alibaba's AliExpress for details on measures against illegal products

The European Commission on Monday ordered Alibaba's AliExpress to provide information on how it tackles illegal products, such as counterfeit goods, sold on its platform by Nov. 27 or face an investigation that could result in fines.

Interesting, last week I had a message from AE that a product I purchased a few weeks ago is counterfeit. First time they did that.

Yep, blurred on seller pictures but visible on costumers pictures on the same page

All mirrors and smoke... EU is enforcing it but in reality what will happen is sellers will remove all references to brand name goods, but there will be an option to add it back in

I don't know about your countries, but here in Spain any package outside the EU pays customs or goes slowly, but if the shipment comes from Aliexpress it goes fast and without customs or at least for the moment.
Nobody is going to bother China, not for the moment.

Interesting but also a little true here in the UK too. Stuff I order on aliex seems to get here double time
