Hey Guys,

I'm new to the forum and am in the market for a Panerai replica. I am literally at the checkout ready to buy a Marina Militare from a website called watch-replica.net. The watch can be viewed below at the following link. http://www.watch-replica.net/replic...ai_Replica_Watches_Marina_Militare_PN_36.html [MOD EDIT: THIS IS NOT A TRUSTED DEALER ON RWI; CLICK ON THE LINK OR BUY FROM THIS DEALER AT YOUR OWN RISK!]

Before I actually make this step I wanted to get some of your opinions about this one. Also, can you give me some basic info about Panerai replicas? Anyone have experience buying these? Where can I get a good swiss version that is as-close-as-possible to the real thing. I think the one in the link is a Japanese version. Are these okay too?

I appreciate your thoughts.

Hello and Welcome!

This information should help get you started-

If you have not read this yet, this is where to start-
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/...r-first-30666?t=30666&highlight=swiss+panerai

Not familiar with the site you listed. If you are looking for a reputable dealer that won't scam you or rip you off, you should start here-
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/forumdisplay.php/replica-watch-dealers-6 Check out Davidsen. He has some pretty good Panerai as far as quality and looks.

As far as the movements in Panerai watches..... the manual wind ones like the 111 etc. usually come with an Asian 6497 movement. Those are very good reliable movements. I would stick with those. All reps will have their flaws. None will be identical to a gen.

Feel free to ask more questions. Happy to help.

Although not a paneristi .. a few general opinions ...
Do yourself a favour and don't buy from that site and read plenty here and you'll find out how to get a eally good rep.

A few tells that show the site you're looking at is dubious are the unspecified movements and mineral crystal for prices over $200!

Check out the trusted dealers here for better watches and better prices.

Looking further at that site .. it's full of rubbish watches.
You're highly unlikely to find anything good there.

So glad I posted on here before ordering. Where can I find the websites for some of the other dealers like Ruby, etc.? Thanks again for all the great insight!

The weird thing about that site is that they don't offer any Rolex reps.
Now that's strange.

Rolex have the most agressive lawyers Meta, that's why.

Time4Direct has some very nice Pams under 200 bills as does Trevor mentioned above.
http://forum.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php/panerai-111-asian-6497-great-31405 That's a lot of watch for $90.
Have a look thru his section he has more in there and contact him via email for anything not listed.

As an example here is the link to T4D's entry level 111:

LOL @ "Japanese" reps. That watch is 100% Chinese and not worth $100, IMO. Mineral glass, horribly incorrect movement decoration, soft/rounded case edges, etc.

Run away from that website and buy from one of our dealers...
