I'm not a pam expert, but I've never seen a gen OPIII movement in a rep so far

if you have the movement it shouldent be a problem, but It is hard to source gen movements, Im guessing

Why would you need a gen movement? There are no complications in it...A 7750 would work fine and is proven to work fine...

Swimming as in the pool and snorkeling OK, but deep sea, forget it. Invest 200 in a Seiko monster

Swim really? I was kinda worried about that. I swim with my gen rolex subs of course, but not the rep Pams. Maybe my Vac build (lubed etc) would survive it?

well what kinda pam, are you looking for a sub, a historic, a vintage...manual wind or auto ect. these things help 44mm or 47mm?

Torobravo on RepGeek seems to build a good 243, I think that's the closest you can get.
