Nice one, taiji. That old-school DSN 010 dial was a winner. There are some minor issues with the "2"s, "3"s and the "5", but they *are* minor. Looks great! What crown are you using there?

Good eyes.

DSN's old school 114 dial is waaaay better than the standard rep 114 dial because of the thicker text font and higher "A" bar.

I used Palp's crown

Yep, not to mention the spot-on "L Swiss Made L" printing! Great watch, mate.

It could be only me.

Judging from the number of viewing hits of this post, it seems like the whitey pam looses its attractiveness as compared to its black dial brothers... or am I wrong?

Please feel free to post your whitey pam pics here. I feel it deserve more attention due to the simple, crisp and super clean cut print on the dial

Not forgetting the "4" :)

I was desperate for a 113/114 PAM until I tried it on at the AD and then my desire completely deflated, such an anti-climax for a watch I had been staring at for so long.

I need a CG and the little screws to complete this:

Near as I cam tell, this older case has a smaller screw size, Hopefully DSN has them on hand, along with a new CG. He said that he does.

What's wrong with the four? Compare taiji's pics to my pic - that is a pic of my old genuine 114E. The four looks pretty good to me...

DSNs 10D dial has a pointy tip 4. To me that has always been the first thing I look at.

Not the old-school dials. I'll say it again - look at taiji's pics (old-school DSN 010) and then look at my pic (gen 114E). Those 4s look nearly identical to me, no?

@waters120 - Yep, the whole watch is gen, I just don't own it anymore.

If you still cannot see what I'm talking about, let's just leave it alone. hooligan, I may not have as many posts on here, but I do tend to know what I'm talking about as well.

The tip of the 4 on DSNs old school 10D/114 dial ends in a square sharp edge. Its on the North East corner of the 4. The gens have a rounded edge there. There are a lot of other examples of this from other old school DSN 10D dials and has been corroborated on several boards. There is a long thread on this over at RG where this very tell was used to substantiate that the dial was a DSN and not a gen.

But if you feel that is not the case, c'est la vie. It is no big deal.

Ah, now I understand. I thought you were talking about the overall flattened shape of the top of the 4.

I agree, it is a flaw, but VERY minor with respect to all the other flaws that reps have, no?

I wasn't trying to imply that you don't know what you're talking about, I was just unsure as to what you felt was wrong with the 4. Sorry if I ruffled your feathers, mate.

Nah its alright, pictures make things easier to illustrate what we're talking about and you're right its a small flaw, but thats the tell to me everytime for the 114 dial besides anything else.

My PAM114 is currently undergoing some slight mod.

I plan to remove the blue tint AR from the original sapphire crystal from DSN and flatten the CG pin.

Will post some pics after it is done.

Members with PAM 114 / 113, u are welcome to post your pics here.

Enjoy....
