I am trying to build a franken 1601 but want to use a very specific set of fat boy hands and dial, and was wondering which clone 3135 movement would fit inside a gen 1601 case? I do not mind the 28,800vph and do not require an open 3 and 6 datewheel.

I haven’t been doing much with reps for the past few years and not so familiar with all the 3135 movements now, VS3135, VR3135, SH3135, etc. the last time I played around with Frankens I knew of yuki 3135 and SA3135, so any help would be greatly appreciated! Or can one use a 2824 or 2386 and get 3135 hands to fit somehow?

without modification to the case, none of the 3135 movements will work. You can use any of the 28xx series eta with an adapter for the movement and either a dial spacer or bergeon dial feet to reposition the dial to accommodate. Also you will need a date wheel overlay.

Thanks for that RDRoss! I wasn't able to find a movement adaptor, the last I was aware, Yuki used to sell an adaptor. I would like to use a 3135 movement and modify the case if possible, however. Would you know where I could source an adaptor for an ETA movement to fit inside a 1600 series case?

Raffles has ‘em so does Helena Rou if I recall correctly. Modifying the case is not an easy job so I would suggest the ETA route.
