What's the superlume solution?

I've been looking at an 005 from Davidsen, but noticed that the hands are superlumed but the dial is not. Many of the details are great -- upgraded crown guard, upgraded crown, high pin, etc.

Which brings me to my question: does he (or anyone else) have a model that has many of the upgraded features with available superlume on both hands AND dial? I'd like to get it this way from the factory and not have to send it off to have the work done.

Thanks in advance,
Z.

To answer you question...Yes...but the factory is in Florence. :D

I am looking too. Seems pretty easy to do it on the assembly line (at least in my rather simple mind). When you find it let me know! Until then, I will be sending mine out to be worked on by better, more skilled hands than my own.

I dont know how true this is, but I was reading an article in a current watch magazine that was discussing lume and it basically said that lume is applied for the watch companies by the lume manufacturer... Opposed to the watch manufacturer applying it themselves, although I dont know how true that is.

I read that too, InSync I think. Very interesting article talking about the life of lume as well, about 12.5 years for superlume.

I have a PAM111H that has the Super Lume on the numbers. I think he does it on some of his Sandwich dial watches. It appears to be easier to super lume the sandwich dials then the others. But I am probably wrong.

mzimand is right.

Davidsen offers most of his watches with a sandwich dial superlume option, you just have to ask him. For some watches this type of dial will not be accurate ie. PAM 005 or 195 because they have sausage dials from the factory.

The sandwich dials are pretty easy to superlume, but the sausage dials are a PITA to do. This is the reason it cost $100+ to have it done.
