I've joined the ranks of the distinguished mymanmatt Datejust owners. It was linen dial for me all the way.
A massive, humungous, absurdly huge thanks goes to droptopman - take a moment and check this out…
Most of us that frequent this thread have seen his gorgeous linen DJ. Back in September a few of us PNWers got together for a little show and tell, and I got to see Mark's build up close. Love at first sight obviously. So three weeks ago I send a casual PM to Mark gushing all over him about his linen dial, and just off the top of his head what would it take for me to get my hands on one? That was like hitting the Bat signal, because in three weeks time, Mark contacts Matt (a good friend of his) to see about sourcing parts. While Matt prepares a quote, a few days later a linen DJ pops up on M2M. Mark changes plans on the fly, buys the watch on M2M himself (from Germany), has it shipped directly to the DJ master himself, who works his magic on it changing the hands, the bezel, adjusting the movement, cleaning and polishing the case, switching out the DWO for a better one, etc., etc., until finally it's on my wrist today. THREE WEEKS LATER. I did zero work - I just sent the cash at the end. Mark and Matt made this happen for me out of the clear blue sky, and it all started with a casual recon PM.
We have some special guys here, but Mark, you're at the top of my list.
This came on a beautiful jubilee on which I'll mostly wear it, but I tossed on this nice pebbled calf strap for kicks.
