It's like this see, I always thought I'd only ever need one Panerai, and I sort of still believe this.

The problem is that I was torn between the 183 and the 111h, and I've always thoguht about whether or not I needed the 183 as well.

And then it happened. I won the PoM over at RWG2, and the prize is a 7753-powered 196 from Silix. Silix, where I have a 40€ credit note. Silix who were about to be sending me a watch. My reasoning is as follows, for 51 euros, I can have over $750 of watches.

So I did it. I ordered the 183. I'll end up with 3 Panerais, all from Silix.

Now all I need is a selection of 26mm straps. :shock:

I'm still not suffering from PAM fever.

Pug you really had no control over this. The Panerai god decided you were not moving quick enough toward Pam fever and intervened. I commend you on the level of resistence you were able to muster. But you can go willingly or wait for the big P god to bring you along. But once you own one... it will happen!!!!! I knew this was inevitable... :wink:

So far what I can tell about PAM fever is that it's Cyclical!

You get just one....but you start getting a few nice straps for it

Then you have too many unused nice straps so .....buy more watches to put them on

Then it starts over again because NOW you need different straps that look better with certain watches.

It does not stop!

congrats on ur winning of one of the BEST PAMs and the addition of the 183! i personally limit my PAMs to 44mm luminor cases so that i don't have to have another collection of 26mm straps...

Well, this morning, I got a mail from Silix saying my 196 and 183 have indeed been posted.

Yes, that's right, I went for the 183 at the same time. :shock:

I hope Crumpdizzle's 26mm Toscana arrrives before the watch. :lol:
