Waterproof Roadster rep...is it possible

I am absolutely in love with the Cartier Roadster Chronograph XL with the black face. I don't have the means to step into the real thing but I have seen some fairly spot on reps. As I understand it, these are not "waterproof." Could they be modified to handle an occasional downpour or a hand-washing? I'm not looking to swim with it, but I don't want to throw down a few bills on a rep only to have it get toasted if I forget to take it off when I wash my hands!

Long-short:
Can a Roadster Chrono XL be modded to handle a little water?

Where have you seen these accurate reps - most have the wrong case size such as Puretimes and Kings - a new mvmnt is coming out next year that will hopefully fix this issue.

If I believe these dimensions, and I am of course leery of doing so since they are not a "trusted" site, then that is fairly precise. The pictures look good too, but for all I know, they are stock photos of the gen.

If I'm way off in thinking I can get one that is close and there is a solution on the horizon, I guess I should wait. How can I follow the progress of the new movement coming out?

To answer your question: I don't think so. I'm sure a good watch smith could get it to withstand hand washing, but not direct immersion or maybe even watch washing.

Those pics are of a gen. Best thing is to contact Connie at kingwatch and ask for updates from the factory, she told me it will probably be ready next summer. I'm getting to the stage where I'm going to save up and not by 5 reps I had planned, and buy the gen.
