I have been pondering why replica divers can't come with 200m water resistance so those of us who like to go swimming with our watch on could do so with a peace of mind. After all, aftermarket seiko cases do come with 200m water resistance so why can't the replica divers have the same?

I’m assuming you mean straight from factory? If that’s the case then 99.99999999% not gonna happen (left the door slightly open as never say never
). If you must go swimming (personally I don’t) with a watch, give it to a TD watchmaker. If you are scuba diving I would highly recommend not using a replica…..

Most pass 10 bars. But some don't. The ones that pass 10 probably pass way more.
