Update: I finally got my watch back and I have sent the canal st crap back to him.
It was after all the complaints on RWI and getting him banned here.

It was a PITA. I hope he learned the lesson and check the stuff before he sells anything.

----------------------------------------------------
A few weeks ago, I posted a FS/FT thread here and I received an offer from this guy. He offered me a River's ETA GMT Rolex for my ETA Omega aqua terra that I bought from King for $190.
In his PM, he assured me that, quote:

"The watch has a swiss ETA movement. It was bought from River for quite a bit of money as reps go."
"By the way You will make out in this deal"
"The movement is ETA 2836-2"

Unfortunately, I found a few problems when I received the watch. First, the GMT hand is not working. Second, the crystal is not sapphire crystal as I found a scratch on it. Third, I found the movement is not as smooth as my other eta watch.

I pmed 12.5 a few times and he is not very helpful. Basically he is telling me that it is an eta watch and the crystal is "supposed" to be sapphire crystal. Well, I trusted him and believed that it is an ETA as he said the watch is from River, so it wasn't such a big deal as I am giving it away.

However, after I saw Base thread
http://forum.replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1476
http://forum.replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1545

I started to doubt this guy's integrity. RBJ offered to open the case for me and check it for me for free. As I actually have the tools, so I did it myself.
http://forum.replica-watch.info/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1529

The result was negative. I received a "Canal St. $30 crap" I complained to 12.5 and he said he got the watch from (name removed, he is a reputable member @RWG anyway.) I also got River's confirmation that this is not his watch. I requested a money back or my watch back. Unfortunately, this guy traded my watch already. Whatsoever...

So, I ve been scammed. I gave 12.5/1 a week to solve the issue before postive a negative review. I think this is reasaonble. The solution is simple, either money back or watch back. After a few days or ignoring my email, he finally replied my PM today (deadline):

"That GMT function worked like the gen. It worked when I sent it I think you may have damaged it when you started messing with the watch...I am not paying you $200."

So, this guy is telling me that "There is nothing that I can do" again.

I think we are not going to have a solution as he intended to scam me from the beginning. Also, according to what base said, 12.5/1 apologized to him and told him that the sunglass is genuine. Well, but 12.5/1 didn't offer him a damn thing for compensation.

Lastly, I have tried to calm myself down and work with the seller to find a soluction. I have given him enough time and I don't think anything he is going to do. This guy won't even pay me a dime.

After all the BS you have posted about a simple trade that could have been easily fixed and all your paranoid accusations I am at the point where I would not give you the sweat off my American balls, so you can kiss my ass. By the way get to a shrink before you blow a gasket over this.

Fact is :

1) I gave you the whole week to fix it. I asked for money back or watch back and your answer is "There is nothing that I can do" and "You can forget it." Easy fix for you, not for me.

2) You assured me that I will receive a "River's" "ETA" "GMT" "Sapphire crystal" watch and I received a "NON River's" "Chinese movement" "Not working GMT" "mineral glass" watch.

3) I have always been nice to you and tried to get a mutual beneficial solution. You said you traded my omega already. I could take a watch, a strap, a screw, a tube, a screw driver... if you can't afford $190. Fact is you didn't offer me a damn thing.

After all, you didn't have any comment except calling this bullshit.

Ah, yes the understanding person who is willing to work things out.

It is begining to look like you do not care in any way shape or form what happens to anyone you deal with. You also must not care too much about your reputation on this forum. *Wisper* (Just so you know, it is really starting to suck).

If I were you, I would think really really hard before you post anything else to any of the other members here. Your attitude so far has not shown any level of maturity or honesty.

Bingo!

Integrity is not a word in some peoples vocabulary and their resolve to a problem that "they" are responsible for is to deflect it by cussing and ranting without addressing the problem.

Sorry for you cwai02..... you're getting screwed because of this individuals refusal to be a stand up person and correct his screw ups.

Maybe we need a trade arbiter set up here....where both parties who are swapping product have to submit it to a non-involved arbiter for approval.

May add on to delivery time - but at least people won't end up with straight CRAP in the mailbox!

Then the arbiter returns both party's items back to them - and post their findings in the Arbiter forum!

trade

Fact of the matter is I have made a few trades here without a hitch. Takashi says he has not got his Daytona, well I have not received a watch from him yet but so what it takes time. Takashi told me to send the watch most inexpensive way I did that, Now this other ass**** has been pm'ing me 1 or 2 times day calling names all that S*** then he puts my name and address and ph# here. We could have worked it out Now it's too late for that. Funny thing is the forum member who I traded the watch too is getting a kick out of this.

12.5/1 - lets cut to the chase shall we? Did you offer a watch and represent it to have an ETA movement? Did you agree to sell this watch with the ETA movement?

The receiver says its not an ETA. Are you disputing that? Short of that you don't have anything to say here. A person with the sligtest bit of integrity would say "I'm sorry, I made a mistake and will man up." You seem to think that you did nothing wrong here and everyone else is to blame for you misrepresenting what you sold. I think everyone here understands that you may very well NOT have known the particulars on the movement but it does not excuse you from your responsibility. You either right the wrong or move along as there will be little room for you around here in the future.

Of course your actions at this point, IMO, seem to indicate you very well knew what the deal was.

Some people are thicker than others.....

You seem to continue to push your obligation to this deal off to 1) who traded the watch to you, or 2) who you traded the other watch to. You can blame anyone you wish... even the new mystery person you've suddenly added to the story line. The fact remains that you misrepresented a deal and are not honest enough to make it right.

Should make a sticky out of this as to type of people you should never deal with. You've proven to most your character.

Please cut out all the BS and make good this deal. It is your right to go after whoever traded you this watch and out him if you want. We will stand behind you on that one.

Salvage you reputation is more valuable than whatever you gained out of this deal.

First he said he got the watch from River, then he said he got it from Rolexman (reputable member at RWG.) Now he said he traded my watch to another mystery member.

This guy has split personality with zero credibility, lol.

Am I wrong here guys, or is this the second bad trade from 12.5/1 I've read about in the past 2 weeks? It could be double posts with rwgII, and I'm getting confused, but I remeber a post about a trade that went bad concerning some oakley's. I'm gonna do some research and post again soon.

Just read over my last post, and want to make an adjustment. I'm not accusing anyone of anything, just remember reading about a bad deal with a pair of oakley's, and that 12.5 was involved, could be he was the one shafted on that, can't remember. Trying to find the post now. Not sure if it was rwgI, II, or here. If anybody finds the original post for that one, please post
