Wristie on a 6.75" wrist

Impression:

Amazing. I've had the old WBK version as shown in my previous review. This is far and away light years ahead. Amazing quality, it feels gen, period. I may or may not do a review shortly based on the photos I have. So far, I've not found any blatant tells.

The leather strap is very decent. Not gen soft, but decent. Lume on the hands is surprising good too.

hmmm......don't think I will be doing a review...nothing much to review?!

The bevel of the sapphire is a little thicker on the rep, but we're splitting hairs here.

Beautiful!

Wow, just beautiful. Packaging also looks great. So was the cd and sleeve part of the box package too?

May I ask where you got it? I am thinking about the Santoos 100 but perhaps the smaller version. Do you know if the smaller version is equally as accurate and high quality?

Thanks for sharing!

I would have never thought that the watch was a rep. Specially with the box, pamflets and CD... I seriously thought it was a Genuine. WOW!!!! Is the box a genuine? What about the extras? I can't believe my eyes, and the photos are very clear.

Thanks for the prompt reply!

Yes, everything you see above came with the package.

From Hont.

Doubt it is.

Thanks for the response. I would have guessed it came from Puretime since they sell a number of Santos watches and packaging.

I will reach out to Hont then.

I am def addicted to this hobby: I have bought 5 reps in the last two months from two authorized RWI dealers!

Nope, its the XL. i.e the biggest one Cartier have. Personally, the best one too.

The box is not genuine and if you've been around gen boxes you know immediately its a replica. Quality ain't fantastic.

Wow! I, too, thought it was a gen. I had to read the full post before I understood that it was a rep. Can you give us a 'ballpark' on the price?

That's odd, the $398 version from the cartel has the incorrect X XI position, the feet in their version is too far apart compared to the one you bought. This is great news if Hont has the XL with correct X+XI!

Beautiful watch. Can't wait to get my hands on one.

Anyway, just nick-picking and point out the most 'obvious' tell (to me) --> length of the hour hand should extend beyond the markers.

Hope you don't mind me asking a few noob questions
1. how does one adjusts the length of the cartier strap if it's too long?
2. where can one get a better quality strap for the santos 100?

The hour hand does extend past the hour markers. The gen in the pic is at 9 o'clock. Mine is at 10 that's why the difference.

1) You can adjust it by pulling the strap at the deployant. Bit complicated to explain a pic is clearer, I'll try and take one to show
2) ABP or HKTan.

One (subtle) difference

One minor difference that my wife actually noted in the pics is that the minute hand is solid white in the rep, but in the gen there is less white and more black (i.e. thicker border at the base of the hand).

I would not have identified that myself, even after staring at it for a while (which I did, admiring the beauty of this rep!).

That's the base of the seconds hand covering up the bottom of the minutes hand, lol.

That's priceless......lol......

It's like a game of "where's waldo" or a word scramble.....everything runs together sometimes doesn't it Mr. Tran...and I'm laughing with you not at you here bud....that gave me a chuckle for sure and I needed that today.

Super nice looking watch Guanaco....Just how big is that case? It might be too big for me and my 6.6" wrist but that is a really nice looking Cartier. Is the smaller one just totally inferior? Because, if it looks like this, I'm going to have to try a Cartier rep.

Oh haha. I have a very embarassed look on my face right now.

I guess that's what happens when I read this Forum on my phone!

I have a 6.75" wrist and I tried on this model (XL). It was way too big and this is from someone who comfortably where's 44mm PAMs...

I will likely get the smaller model...

Unreg, I'm seeing a lot of gap between the strap and your wrist (in your wristie shot - GREAT photos btw). Doesn't that bother you? Mine sat very similar and thats what prompted me to think this watch is simply too big for me.
