Two generations of DSN 111H

Just thought i would share some pictures comparing my two year old DSN with a brand new that came in today for my friend. Both are ultimate 111H with the same serial number!

Here they are side by side. Old one to the left.

Old one seems to have a smoother apperance of the numbers and hour markers

Here's the new one.

Finally a closeup of the newer dial. Slightly different placing of the L Swiss L.

Let me know what you think of the evolution of this model!

I think nomatter which one you get , you still need some mod job at all .
Relume , cannon pin fix , and replace a Toro CG or auy better CG .
Replace a LH dial if you have enough funds , or wait for a better 111 dial from factory in the future .
So that the true Ultimate 111H will born .
That's my suggestion .

Thanks for your comments! I agree, the older one looks better and would in my opinion be a better base for a real ultimate 111H.

@Alvinado you have sharp eyes, I noticed something different about the font but couldn't decide what it was.

@GOin I agree on the CG, it does look worse and the old one was just about ok before I crashed and tried to fix it!

Older model for me as well. Prefer the older dial as per Alvin's comment.

That's my suggestion .

DSN 111 needs neither Relume or Pin Fix- His Sandwhich Dial lume is excellent- It's straight C3- it's sausage lumes that are C3/C1 mix.
DSN fixed the "6" on these and the placement of the numbers- but the "3" is off and of course the watch is still a rep- Always faults if you look for them.
