Yeah I do hold them in "higher" regard the most of the other third party resellers but you never know these day. Price is on the lower side for surePaperwork from watchfinder stating its legit and from what I can tell watchfinder is legit but lets hear what the experts say as I'm a rookie at this.
This is really helpful, thank you. I'm going to low ball and see what happens after a few questions sent their way were met with honesty. Seems like he knows that it isnt in the best condition, but prices are what people are willing to pay, end of story. He's got another few vintage pieces for sale so I suspect a Clearout for a new piece/pieces.Pictures are horrendous, so difficult to tell anything. With a nice lollipop 76100 only selling for £4250, after going nowhere for weeks at £4500, on ebay, I suspect the asking price is ALL the money with those pics in the current market. Lots of watches hanging round at the moment. Low ball offer and let the ebay authenticator do their thing, knowing you're pretty safe if it's a rotter.
Helpful - To be honest I cannot take this amount of cash and ignore the fact that the seller is producing such poor images. I know that some guys aren't good with tech and they do their best but at this price point, one has gotta expect more right? The pictures are so bad it is had to tell. One thing I did notice is the font for the date wheel looks off to my eyes for that generation. It may be as simple as a replacement DW but it could also but a something else. Just my two cents.
Thanks for the input tripdog - What does reluming involve? As in, do they just take the hands from the dial and relume them to industry standard? Pearl I can't make sense of - It's like it's not there!?Yes, it looks to be genuine, though pearl seems to have been replaced by a blob of glue and the hands may have been relumed. The price reflects the condition of the watch.
It should be an acrylic Pearl, they can get damaged quite easily or just fall out. It doesn't look like a normal pearl on the watch, either it was damaged and repaired with glue or someone made a pearl out of a blob of glue. Thanks for the input tripdog - What does reluming involve? I've pinged them a message - See what happens! It should be an acrylic Pearl, they can get damaged quite easily or just fall out. It doesn't look like a normal pearl on the watch, either it was damaged and repaired with glue or someone made a pearl out of a blob of glue.
The lume plots on the dial look to have some damage if the lume on the hands was also damaged then the old lume would have been removed and replaced. Asking to see a lume shot would confirm if it's the original lume or not, but I doubt it is, the color is different to the dial lume.
Yeah I didn't pull the trigger in the end as the buyer was being super lacking on information and just a general slow approach to the whole thing. I understand that people have lives etc but taking a week to come back to me on basic information on a watch that's 4k was just a bit of a red light for me. Call me old fashioned!I am guessing it didn't happen! Still seems to be there, as predicted, with that price with those photos!
