Deeply fascinating writeup JayBee0815 and thanks so much for sharing this!!
I'd be excited to find out if this 7750 can be switched for an authentic swiss 7750 - While it would be different from gen, it might over some longevity in terms of being able to get parts for it, given the current P.9xxx movements out of production as a whole.

We discussed this some weeks ago in another thread. Executive summary: Yes, this is possible but makes not really sense, because the Swiss 7750 is rare and quite expensive. The Asian 7750 is a good and stable movement, if it is used in a standard configuration without modules like "seconds on 12" and you get lots of spare parts for this movement. So there is no really need to upgrade it to a expensive ETA. At least not for a "normal" Rep. If you have for example a Franken-Pam for more than 1k Euro you might want to get the last kick with an ETA.

I was able to get PAM 1312 with 7750 movement not working. What 7750 movement should I get to fit to TTF 1312? Would I neeD to modify it somehow? I think 7750 is supporting 3 subdials and the date wheel while 1312 uses only seconds subdial and date. Also can I use a date wheel from TTF1312 to a new 7750 movement?

Hello.

To match, the TTF needs a 7750 (Asian, or Swiss), with chronograph parts removed.

DW will have to fit from TTF to your new 7750.

Hi, thanks. I will get asian 7750 and try to replace it. I hope it will fit. Is there any guide how to remove chronograph parts from 7750 available?

I do not know such a manual, and it will not be possible to describe it briefly. If you have no experience with movements, I would not recommend doing it yourself, but if you dare, it is worth exploring the entire structure of the 7750, and this is not the easiest and most convenient option to start the journey.

Thanks. I can imagine it not so easy to remove chrono functionality from standard 7750 movement. I think PAM calls it 7750-P1. I will try to search if any chance to “easily” remove chrono. Would it be an option to keep chrono there in the standard 7750 and just don’t use 3 and 6 “pins” - maybe to shorten them so that they stay belo the dial?

Another “idea” - it seems that ST2555 movement is also used in some PAMs. Maybe I can try to fit it into 1312 TTF case (using 7750 now). Not sure about if it fits (dimensions) and if the 7750 date wheel (overlay?) fits to the ST2555

The ST25 is tall! The cheapies have them in both their radiomirs and luminors and all their cases end up looking out of shape by a huge margin.

Thanks for your comment. So I think modding the standard 7750 is the only option... I'm still not sure if I need to remove chrono part of it (not found any good guideline yet) or if "just" cutting the 12 and 6 chrono pins should work too (to be able to fit 1312 / 1314 PAM dial with 9 subdial only)

Wonderful review! On an unrelated note, does the VSF 1313 use a different case than the VSF 1314? I see the measurements at 15.5mm for the 1314 pictures, while mine sits at 15 even.

Does anyone know if the PAM 1313 VSF is still available anywhere? I can't seem to find it. Any help would be much appreciated.
