Ahhhh bummer, I bought a Walter vintage tan strap for my davidsen pvd 111 but it turns out it's too small for my wrist. I can barely get it on and when I do I have to use the hole furthest from the watch. Of course when I do that the watch sits like total crap on my wrist and and I can't use the strap loops because the strap is maxed out and hasn't got any length left. This is my fault since the dealer list how big the strap is and I should have looked into this before buying it from him. I sent him an email asking if I could return it for a bigger size but so far he hasn't answered me yet (it's only been a day since I sent the email so I am not mad or anything about that). Hopefully he will take it back but I understand he is in his right to refuse since he clearly stated how big it was before he sent it to me and I accepted.

So now I am hopeing he also sells the exact same strap in a bigger size because I REALLY like this strap.
If he doensn't though I will have to look into different options and this is where I need the help of you guys.
The strap I bought was a vintage tan with custom black stich and black edge with PVD buckle. Do you of any other dealers that sells a strap like this one? The size I am looking for is something along the lines of:
85/130 24/24
85/140 24/24
90/130 24/24

Vintage tan (a dark brown like the one in the picture) black edge, black stich, and black color underneath. What I mean by this is the side of the strap that is touching your skin when you are wearing the watch is black.

Thanks guys, really appreciate it :)

This is the strap I bought:

OMG you won't believe this!!! Smat is one awesome AWESOME dealer!!! He is taking the strap back and sending me a new one!!! I am so lucky, I mean, he has every right to just say "nahhh I told you what size it and I am not taking it back", what an awesome dealer! This is the email I got from him:

Hi Simon,
That would be no problem. Please the strap back to me. I will get you the new one. Please confirm the size again, the length and the width. Don't worry, be happy.
many thanks
smat

Don't worry, be happy :D You better believe I am happy
I got 3 different private messages asking me about the strap.
It's called the vintage tan strap and I got it with black stiching and black edge and pvd buckle. Price was 89 dollars and the quality and service from him is top noth. I also recieved it very quickly. So I won't hessitate buying from him again, that is for sure. Again what an AWESOME dealer

Very nice collection. That Walter Blackseal Compass 47mm would be a fantastic solution for a "Fiddy". Very Tasty!

Simoh, was that a custom strap? I didn't see it on his website...

I would love a golden sand/black combo like that for my PVD MM20 coming from Davidsen!

Thanks.

Yeah the black stich and black edge was a custom request and it was no problem. It was a bit extra but I think it is worth it :D

IMHO

Smat - is the Shiznit.

He is awesome. i love his straps, great quality great price, great guy to work with. He can make all of his stuff custom for bigger or smaller wrists (of course they cost more)

I have 1 MF strap, which is amazing, handmade buffalo tobbacco color for my 47

but, other than that, i'm a smat guy.

nice strap by the way - good luck :) lucky for me, the standard strap size is perfect for me. its one of the few things that fits me well "off the shelf" :) but at least i have something

and- just FYI, smat has 2 lines - the Walter straps which are custom hand made and the Legazio straps that are machine made - great straps - 49 dollars shipped !!!! :)

calf straps w/ dark stitch and no buckle / or PVD sewn in

I like SMAT but my last strap was too thin for my liking. I like the fatter straps :) Has anyone found a good source for thicker 24/24 with dark (black / brown) stitch straps in antique orange calf or similar tone - and no sewn in buckle?

MF & Bob have some good orangey calf straps, but MF only selling 24 with a buckle - and I believe it's a pain in the arse to get a sewn-in buckle off (I'm no leather worker) - and in Bob's case the stitching is white .. and I wonder if it's thick enough for my taste, anyway.

E @ TC has some nice tan straps - but again, white stitch (not optimal for PVD) or buckle in already.

Any sources?

Cheers, BBB

Brad, have you tried HKTan? I don't think he supplies buckles, though (although PVD buckles are pretty easy to find).

You can also try Shane Delaurian here:

Good luck. How thick are these straps from SMAT, anyway? from the pics, they look easily 4mm thick of not more?
