But how do reps like this exist? While this may even be a PS just for fail purposes, I know there are DJ's with two VII's on it.

Me too.... but I did a bit of the googly, because I've seen many clock faces that use the roman numeral IIII instead of the IV, and remembered that it has been common in antique clocks.

Here's a genuine day-date, same configuration! What I find more interesting than the IIII-IV thing is the I at eleven, instead of XI. That is consistent, though, with the argument that symmetry was more important than "correctness" to some dial designers.
