I'm searching a bit now and haven't found THE solution to one question: How to clean which movement part of an (A)ETA 2824...
So far I'm doing pretty well whith the disassembly and assembly (no jewels and no mainspring xD) of the 2824 and therefore i want to go for the next step - cleaning and oiling. For testing i thought about lighter fuel and alcohol - all in containers in an ultrasonic cleaner. I know, not ideal, but I'm trying to keep it at a budget until i find out that it works out
Most parts are pretty much straight forward but I'm still unsure about the balance. Some say "attach it to the mainplate for cleaning" and some say "dont clean it".. Any opinions and tipps from this community would be appreciated Also, if there is any summary/guide you can lead me to, I would be very thankful
